A heavy box came yesterday with my name on it.
I've been published! My story, "The Empty Chair" is in Chicken Soup's newest book "Just for Preteens" Ten copies! (and check coming!)
This is the first time I've been published in an anthology.
The only change they made...was to add a Shirley MacLaine quote at the beginning of my story. "Fear makes strangers of people who would be friends."
If you're interesting in reading the story, I'll post it in a few weeks.
I should be posting more often, now. I got a new camera! Without a camera, I have been one bottled up blogger!
It's also been quite busy around here. I'm working for Mozart this summer...writing descriptions of music. Have you ever tried to describe instrumental music in words? It's a challenge, but I'm getting better at it. This will go into a music library where people can play a sample of his music and read a description.
Thanks for visiting.! I'll be posting again in about a week Gotta go take some pictures!

Mary's Visit
I have been blessed with one lovely sister-in-law and she came for a visit recently. She is pictured in the center, and my good friend Sunny is on the right.
She brought her little dog Maggie. Diamond was quite excited about Maggie...I had to hold her back from licking Maggie all over.
Diamond and Dustin welcome Mary to our home.
Even Mozart came out to say hello and pose for a picture.
Mary visits Mozart's studio.
Oh I know...another picture of Diamond. She and Mozart have bonded.
Thank you Mary, for the pictures!
My camera is still broken, but I hope to get a new one in a few weeks. Maybe that will motivate me to get back into the swing of posting. I've been busy helping Mozart this summer. I'm at the computer uploading his music into music libraries where people can purchase his stuff. His music is doing well, but we need to get more of it out there.
I'll be around to visit your blogs and see how you are all doing!
