We're having a barbecue over here so I'm busy cleaning house. I do wish it would cool down outside. It's 95 degrees and its 5:15 p.m. My vegetable garden is sagging. Oh no...my husband just walked in with...what? $90.00 of fireworks? Sigh. It's hard to watch money burn up. This happens every year, whether we have the money or we don't. My 3 men LOVE fireworks!
Our guests are bringing fireworks too. I might as well settle in and enjoy the show!
Have a wonderful Fourth of July. I am truly thankful for the freedoms we have in this country!

Have a great & fun day Sharon. Our Canada Day celebrations were so much fun & we have one of the biggest & best fireworks displays in the country in our little town. It was amazing...all by donation too. I guess we love our fireworks here too. Enjoy your company & your BBQ! Its sizzling hot here too so I'll probably be hibernating today!
We had a nice day. Lovely Wife and I slept late and in the afternoon grilled a bunch of stuff and ate too much. It was nice just to have a day to go at our own pace and take it easy. Hope your's went well.
Well, fireworks are illegal in our county so the desert community decided to park behind our house with the snakes and coyotes (over fifty cars) and watch the firework show from the Indian Reservation. Hmmmmm. That casino must bring in a bundle.
Our family and neighbors had great fellowship on the fourth. Stay cool, my friend. It's 103 out here.
Personal fireworks are illegal here, but we enjoyed watching ours out over the ocean. We were quite chilly watching. It was very cool and very windy. The combination kept me in long sleeves, a towel wrapped around my legs and sitting close to the fire we (our church) had after our big beach cookout.

Sounds like you all had some nice firework shows!
I love sitting outside at night...accept for the mosquitos. But there was so much smoke, we didn't have any bugs.
We had a great 4th - I posted some pictures tonight.
Amen & Amen to that :o]
Sounds like fun! I had to laugh, my hubby and teenage son are pyro-manics too. (I don't think that's how it's spelled, right?) And I don't think they count the cost either - the bigger the better in their book!
Anyhow, it rained here on the 4th so we've been doing little mini-fireworks displays off and on. My hubby bought enough that we'll probably drive our neighbors nuts this summer!
And Amen about our freedom...
