Sliding Down Again

Oh dear...the interview went well, but the son is not hired.
The father placed another deadline on him. He must have a job by this coming Sunday.

Time to trust, once again. I'm re-reading parts of Allison Bottke's book "Setting Boundaries with Your Adult Children." It's helping me to stay strong.

I finished "The Shack". I really enjoyed it. Now Mozart is reading it.

I'll be back soon with a longer post.

Have a nice day.

Hi my friend :) Keep trusting the LORD.

On a side note, I read the Shack too, but well, I have a different opinion about it.

Continuing in prayer for your son and family.

Love,
Susan

I am sorry. I have been wondering.

I'm going to read The Shack now - I've heard so much and am itnerested to see what I will think.

All opinions on the Shack are welcome.

In my post, I said "I enjoyed" the book. Actually parts of it were difficult, but all in all it was thought provoking.

I consider it (kind of) like an allegory. Representing truth...but not representing it with total accuracy. Because no one really knows the mind of God.

But I do know that God loves each of us immensely. And I felt this came through in the book.

Sorry things are still not resolved with your son. I will keep your family in my prayers. I read the shack in my Book Club - also kinds of mixed reactions there. I didn't hate it, didn't love it but found it thought provoking and certainly caused lots of discussion.

That's the feeling I get from many people - that it's an allegory with lots of poetic license taken! But thought provoking.

Beverly Cleary's books about her life journey were wonderful - I loved them. I also found an interview with her on line. She's really neat lady.
