Placing Your Hope

The verse said, "...placing all my hope in the Lord".

The verse above came back to me as I worried about the details of my son's life.

Don't place part of your hope in the Lord, I counseled myself. Place ALL your hope squarely on him. (not to the right or to the left)

So I prayed, telling the Lord one more time, my worries. "I'm giving them to you."

Now I just need to remind myself, where my worries are.

And if I feel unsure as the days progress, once again, I say to myself, "trust, trust" (as many times as I need to) and it helps to move the weight of those concerns back on to God's shoulders.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

There are so many things we cannot do. So we let the Lord do them. We let him advise us. And we discipline ourselves to read His words daily in the Bible. In this, we gain wisdom. We gain strength. We wait. We hope. We are at peace IN HIM. We place all our hope in Him.

"Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."-Jesus
(Bible: Matthew 11:28)

Have a great weekend as you rely on his knowledge, know-how and strength in your impossible situation.

Peace to you, and to me.

"There are so many things we cannot do. So we let the Lord do them."...amen to that!

Letting go and turning loose have always been challenges for me...but every time I obey God and put it ALL in His hands...well...He AMAZES me...

Mom's worry...it's part of our nature...will be praying for your son...

Yes, so true my friend. Placing all our hope and trust in the Lord is where we will find rest :)

Lifting a prayer for you today.

Yes, these words are true! Joshua 1:7-9 are the verses my Precepts class is memorizing this semester as we study Joshua.

I'm so glad He's never overwhelmed by our worried - and that He's patient with us. I'm still learning how to lean on Him.

Thanks for the nice comment - I like to think of my ramblings like a letter.

Thanks for your encouragement...as we trial through these times with our sons. I like what you said, "All we can do is keep trusting in Him...that he will take away our anxieties. I hear your heart. I've been through some difficult times watching my son's marriage fall apart. Not much I can do...Pray and love his dear little boys.
