Published!

A heavy box came yesterday with my name on it.

I've been published! My story, "The Empty Chair" is in Chicken Soup's newest book "Just for Preteens" Ten copies! (and check coming!)

This is the first time I've been published in an anthology.

The only change they made...was to add a Shirley MacLaine quote at the beginning of my story. "Fear makes strangers of people who would be friends."

If you're interesting in reading the story, I'll post it in a few weeks.

I should be posting more often, now. I got a new camera! Without a camera, I have been one bottled up blogger!

It's also been quite busy around here. I'm working for Mozart this summer...writing descriptions of music. Have you ever tried to describe instrumental music in words? It's a challenge, but I'm getting better at it. This will go into a music library where people can play a sample of his music and read a description.

Thanks for visiting.! I'll be posting again in about a week Gotta go take some pictures!

Woo Hoo!!!!! And I know your "other" book will be out soon. The one with only your name on it. I heard it from a very dependable source. Congrats, my friend.

Congrats Aunt Sharon! That's awesome! Must be nice to be paid for your writing; I hope I'm in the same position some day.

Congratulations on your first published story. You've worked hard at this. I imagine you are not spending much time on motor bike. Summer is here and like you said, with company and projects, it's hard to get time to sometimes run out and blog...it all takes time.
Enjoy your new camera.
