Strings of Light

I'm outside on a ladder putting up our Christmas lights. Three strings will take care of the front edge of the roof.

Our Christmas decorations are in 2 plastic bins in our storage shed. I couldn't get to them before now because of all the things piled on top of them. Finally my kind husband came out and unburied them. I'm just putting out a few things, but it should be a fun day decorating.

(Hours later) I'm checking in again. I just discovered I put up the Christmas lights (along the edge of the roof) backwards. The end of the wire that comes into the house is flat---I should have the prongs coming into the house to plug in. I have to take them ALL down tomorrow, and start over. It's time to swear...the other alternative was to blog. I'm so glad I have "you" (whoever is reading this) to complain to.

Ah, Mr. Dad has taken care of the lights. Daughter is putting up the Christmas tree with Frank Sinatra in the background (ick), and Son will be decorating the inside of the house and they are discussing how to re-arrange the front yard. This year it looks like I'll have a relaxing Christmas. It was good to see you SL--even for 15 minutes or so. We shall talk longer soon. Merry Christmas.

ps. loved your hike with the Lord post. I should do that except it's snowing on our hike trail. brrrrr.

We won't have Christmas Lights this year, Travis and Tony always put them up...debating about having a Christmas tree and just use the smaller decorations. I am trying not to let the "Scrooge" spirit slip into this holiday season...

That is too funny - except for you! I would not even think of putting lights outside - I do the tree, he does outside - this year we have none outside, because of this trip, I think. Although he had plenty of time and nice weather before we left. It's snowed now there for 3 days, so I don't think we'll be having any put up when we get home!

How's things otherwise??

Glad you chose the latter or was that the "ladder"? Ha, ha, I'd never make it as a comedian. They'd kick me off stage :)

I don't do outside lights, just inside, you're brave. (Although I enjoy other people's outside lights...)
