That is a huge high school class! Exact colors of the university where I worked.

Best wishes to him as he decides his future path!

As for going to the park alone, I never even gave it a thought. Maybe I should. I would never hike alone and don't like it when DC does, but I didn't fear the mountain park at all. It is a sad world when we have to worry about those things, though.

The Pawnee Buttes are on a national grassland, which belongs to the US Forest Service. I am so glad something has been salvaged and not built upon! It is so quiet and peaceful out there - except for the wind. In the first post about that day there is a link to an article about it that you might enjoy, in case you missed it.
