Dog Beach

Easter Sunday - April 24, 2011

Diamond is trying to get her tennis ball out of the water. This is the first time she has seen the sea.

She ran up and down the beach...was inside and outside of the water...and greeted every dog and person with a tail wag. She is a one-year-old pitbull-lab-bull mastiff.

My son brought her home many months ago. At first I resisted, but now she is a special friend to all of us. If it wasn't for her, I never would have this family picture at the beach. We all love her...so that gives us something in common. And we need that in our family.

After spending a little time at the dog beach, we drove further down the coast to my parents home where we celebrated Resurrection Day with a family dinner.

Thank you Lord, for Easter...a reminder of your power over evil and death. And for granting us a peaceful, fun day.

Beautiful place . . . beautiful family! Isn't it the hardest thing to get the whole family together?!

Dogs and beaches just go together. It's sad that they are kept away from so many.

Hi Sharon, I just caught up on your last several posts. I love the picture of the family and those of the dogs. I can really relate to having difficulty nailing down how or what to write about on the topic of care-giving, though there is much to say. It's hard to find an approach as I don't want to dishonor my mom. It seems that the things I have to share at this time are the difficult things. Maybe I have to wait a while longer before I write on this topic. Good job doing the 60min writing exercise. You are inspiring me. Write on friend and many blessings... oooh, as I read this over, a topic is starting to bubble up...Yes, you inspire me. :)
