Walking

My mom and I walked around Balboa Island a few weeks ago. What would it be like to live here, by the sea?

Click on picture for a closer look. Can you see my mom walking...in her tennis hat?

Show me your ways, O Lord,
teach me your paths,
guide me in your truth
and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.

Psalm 25:5

It's a beautiful Saturday here in Southern California. The temperature will climb to the 90's, the sky is blue. In my neighborhood (not the one above) people are out clipping bushes, and washing cars. I'm about to go into the kitchen and make a grocery list of everything we will need for the coming week. I haven't "meal planned" in a while. But today I will do it, so that next week will be easier. I'm having a birthday on Tuesday. Do I dare say it? "52"

My son had to leave home yesterday. This is a long road...the one we're on with our son. There is very little relief. But I must trust that the the long road is leading to somewhere. God certainly would not lead us on a path to nowhere. He is leading us to SOMEWHERE. And it is for our son's well-being.

Balboa Island looks like a great place to visit Sharon. Thanks for sharing that photo. Hope everything works out ok for your son. They do say that God moves in mysterious ways and everything happens for a reason Sharon.

I have always planned meals and shopped accordingly, but I really get tired of it. But it is the best way to make the weak more organized and save grocery money.

Sorry to hear the latest - anxious to hear more.

What a beautiful walk with you dear mom! (And I did see her tennis hat - you tennis playing women!)

I can't believe you're going to be 52. You look GREAT!

As for meal planning. Good for you. Lately I've been trying to at least plan what I'll make for that day, it helps. (Working on buidling on that idea!)

And about your son, I learned a little song when I was a child that goes like this. It refers to Israel's wanderings in the desert.

"My Lord knows the way through the wilderness. All I have to do is follow. (repeat) Strength for today, is mine all the way, and all that I need for tomorrow. My Lord knows the way through the wilderness. All I have to do is follow."

And about the movie Expelled. My hubby and I went and saw it last night! Wow!
